Hey guys! I hope you guys have been enjoying your week. During the pandemic, we have many things going on, which can make us a bit overwhelmed. A daily routine is what can make or break your mood, especially if you’re like me and your mind is going 24/7. Here are 10 ways to improve your routine so that you can have a positive, fulfilling day:
- Drink water
Drinking water is the best way to be hydrated. Hydration is the key to a happy, healthy body. It helps get your digestion going. If plain water is boring, you can add lemon or fruit like strawberries and peaches to spice it up.
Write out your feelings. Express gratitude or write down your feelings. Pinterest has a lot of different journal ideas and 30-day writing challenges. It’s always good to write out your feelings and not keep them bottled up for too long. Find you a cute journal and get to writing. Try writing in the morning, night, or whatever works for you.
- Take walks
Taking walks is always refreshing, especially on a good day. Get some fresh air and enjoy the sunshine. 30 minutes of exercise is great for the heart. Get your blood pumping and feel-good endorphins flowing.
- Social media detox
Take breaks from social media. Don’t let it consume you. Try using the screentime app and give yourself 1-2 hours of a break for every hour you’re on it. It gives your eyes a break since electronics do increase mental fatigue and eyestrain.
- Compliment yourself
Boost your confidence. Remind yourself of who you are. Don’t pick out any flaws. Find 3 things that you love about yourself and state them in the mirror. Write them down on post-it notes and place them everywhere.
- Read empowering, motivational books
- Take breaks
Prevent burnout. Reduce mental fatigue. Give yourself time to think. Set timers and give yourself a mental break so you can be successful in other tasks.
- Listen to music
Pick out your fave playlist and jam out. Listen to some relaxing or upbeat music. Whatever vibe you feel or want to set.
- Declutter your space
Straighten up your space. Sometimes our minds can feel discombobulated when we have a lot coming on in the space we are in every single day. Organize and get rid of things on your desk. Straighten up your living space. Create it to your liking.
- Plan out your day
You don’t have to stick with your plans, but sometimes being a little bit more organized can help you set a tone for your day.
By using some of these steps, I hope that you can improve your daily routine a lot more. Thanks for reading, and feel free to comment below!
